Class 7 PE day is Friday.
Children can come to school in their PE kit on Fridays. PE kit is a white t-shirt, black jogging bottoms and a pair of trainers. Children will also need their school jumper.
Our topic next term is 'Who shall we invite to the ugly bug ball?'
Termly topic overview...
Our topic this term is 'What's the story in Fairytale Land?'
Using a play based approach, children will explore the topic through a combination of adult led and child initiated learning activities. Throughout the term we will encourage children to listen to, join in with and retell a variety of different stories. We will study characters, use music and drama to enhance stories, create our own puppets and other story props.
Please see the below document for further information.
In term 3 we asked - 'What will we find on an African Safari?'
Most of our children worked from home this term, and what a fantastic job they did! Handa invited us on a journey to Africa and we asked the question. 'What will we see on an African Safari?' To begin with we learnt all about he animals we might see - we learnt their names, looked at pattern and found out lots of interesting facts. We continued upon our journey and met the Maasai Tribe, we made lots of comparisons about our lives and theirs and were amazed at how the ladies built the mud huts!
Look what we did in Term 2 - 'What is a celebration?'
We have been learning about Bonfire Night and the firework safety code. We have created our own firework pictures and Bonfire Night safety posters.
Look at some of our amazing work ....
We have been learning about the celebration of Diwali. We listened to the story of Rama and Sita and then we learnt about how people celebrate Diwali. We also made our own diva lamps out of clay and then painted them and decorated them with glitter.
Finally this term we have been learning all about Christmas. We have listened to and retold the Nativity story and helped the Jolly Christmas Postman with lots of little tasks such as weighing parcels and writing his shopping list.
