School Clubs

All after school clubs are £3.50 and finish at 4.15.

We offer all children the chance to join in any of our after school clubs, including Nursery and Reception children. Once parents decide which club they want their child/children to attend we collect from their class at the end of the day and escort them to their club. We help them to change and to tie laces etc.

At the end of the breakfast club children from Nursery and Infants are escorted to their classrooms. Junior children are escorted to the main entrance of the Junior School which is located on the same campus. The few Secondary young adults who attend the breakfast club make their own way to school which is situated on Boughton Lane.

The breakfast club is managed by the school and provides excellent care for children. We employ Teaching Assistants from the school to staff the breakfast club who know the children and who have been trained in first aid, health and hygiene and food preparation. Helen Smith is the lead TA at breakfast club, she is supported by Elaine Jennings.

The breakfast club is inspected regularly by the Local Authority who acknowledge the excellent care provided for the children.

Children have a choice of food each day, the emphasis is on healthy choices with fruit, cereals and fresh juice being available every day. In addition there are a range of daily options to supplement the menus e.g. toast, waffles, bread, spreads with jams and low fat margarines.

Water is always available and children use anti-bacterial sprays to reduce the spread of germs, all children have their own toothbrushes and the they are encouraged to eat in social groups.

Children have access to a wide range of activities at the breakfast club, colouring, construction and small world play, TV, games and puzzles.
